I’ve represented it well by offering my help to anyone who needs it, regardless of year, major, or prior knowledge. Over time, I’ve grown to appreciate different levels of understanding since it challenges me to explain finance concepts in new ways, further solidifying my own mastery as well.
How has your experience as a Northeastern Peer Tutor impacted you?
It has made me more confident in explaining finance concepts to others and therefore translated directly into being a great interview preparation. As I advance through my own finance concentration classes, I find that I perform relatively better than my peers since I have such a strong understanding of the foundational courses. I would definitely be recommending tutoring to anyone who has a passion for mentorship and public speaking!
