In order to support the tutoring centers in the Departments, as well as to streamline peer tutoring at the University, the Director of the Peer Tutoring Program provides assistance in the following areas:
- Recruiting and Selecting Tutors
- Assisting Faculty with Assigning Tutors to classes
- Hiring and Paying Tutors
- Training Tutors
- Supervising Tutors
- Gathering Data and Reporting at the End of Each Semester
- Offering Advice on Fiscal Responsibility and Accountability
- Working on Student Access to Tutoring Services and Space
- Providing Information on Tutoring Models
- Offering Advice on Basic Guidelines for Scheduling and Cancelling Appointments as well as Evaluating Services
