Northeastern Peer Tutoring hosted our annual CRLA Tutor Certifications & Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025. During this special event, we proudly presented our qualified peer tutors with their CRLA Tutor Certifications in all 3 Levels.

We were delighted to present the Outstanding Tutor Award for the 2024-2025 academic year to CRLA Level 3 Tutor and senior Ananya Mahansaria, recognizing her exceptional contributions to Peer Tutoring and the broader Northeastern learning community. The Students’ Choice Award, which honors the tutor receiving the highest number of perfect 5/5 ratings from tutees, was awarded to CRLA Level 1 Tutor Kenny Liang for his remarkable dedication to student success. We also took time during the ceremony to honor our graduating peer tutors for their commitment to serving their fellow students, wishing them happiness, productivity, fulfillment, and success in their future endeavors. Congratulations to all recipients!

25 Years of Northeastern Peer Tutoring

This year’s ceremony was particularly significant as we celebrated Northeastern Peer Tutoring’s 25th anniversary. For a quarter century, our program has been supporting student success through peer-to-peer learning, helping thousands of Northeastern students achieve their academic goals. This milestone is truly reflective of the dedication and passion for learning shared by all our peer tutors, and the superb support from leadership, faculty, and staff who have helped bolster Peer Tutoring since 2000.

Thank you to Associate Vice Chancellor of Teaching & Learning Girlie Delacruz (pictured on screen) and Senior Vice Chancellor of Education Innovation Liz Zulick (pictured front right) for supporting Peer Tutoring’s mission and your lovely participation in our ceremony. We were honored to have many other distinguished guests in attendance as well who have contributed significantly to the program, including former General Studies Director & Lecturer Lynn Dornink, OSOP Advisor Leroy Jackson Jr., Associate Director of WeCare Student Support Services Maggie Loscuito, Vice Provost of Undergraduate Programs & Policies Bruce Ronkin, Associate Director of CSSH Student Support Sally Solomon, and Associate Director of COE Graduate Program Development Nicole Wang.
