Since Summer 1 of 2024, so this is my 3rd semester of tutoring

How have you represented Northeastern Peer Tutoring on Knack?

I have always made sure to make sure that all my students have a warm and welcoming experience whenever I first reach out to them, and during my sessions with them, I always try to make sure that feel like they can ask any question about the class, no matter if they think it is a “dumb” questions (often students preface with this, and they are never dumb questions)! I feel that it is very important all students need to be relaxed in the environment that they are tutored in, and I feel that I always try to strive for the least stressful environment, as students don’t need yet another stressful event in their lives when studying for a class, tutoring is supposed to help you be less stressed with the class!

How has your experience as a Northeastern Peer Tutor impacted you?

It has allowed me to talk about topics that I love and share them with someone else who is also eager to learn! It often leads to interesting conversations with others, and, of course, different perspectives on ideas from the class. I often learn a lot from my students, as they give different points of view on the same idea. It’s also allowed me to strengthen my understanding of the class as well, which then I pass right along to my students.
