How have you represented Northeastern Peer Tutoring on Knack?
On the Northeastern Peer Tutoring on the Knack platform, I emphasized my role in helping students tackle challenging data structures, running problem-solving sessions, and guiding them through essential object-oriented design concepts like encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism.
How has your experience as a Northeastern Peer Tutor impacted you?
Being a Peer Tutor at Northeastern has been a rewarding experience. It’s given me the chance to revisit and deepen my understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) topics by explaining them to others. This has been incredibly helpful for my co-op interviews, as it keeps my knowledge fresh and sharp.
But more than just reinforcing my technical skills, tutoring has taught me to approach each session with an open mind. I often learn new perspectives and problem-solving methods from my tutees, which has made me more adaptable and empathetic. It’s fulfilling to see my peers grow and succeed, and it’s made me a better learner and communicator in the process.
