Starting in the Fall 2023 semester, Northeastern Peer Tutoring will be transitioning onto Knack, a leading tutoring platform. Knacks was chosen among a number of other 3rd party vendors because it aligns with the fundamental principles, standards, and traditions of the Peer Tutoring Program at Northeastern; striving to create rich, purposeful, and meaningful experiences for both the tutors and the tutees.
This partnership between Northeastern Peer Tutoring and Knack offers great benefits:
- Allows us to scale up the peer tutoring operations without compromising the quality of peer tutoring services.
- Serve all Northeastern undergraduate students (with a Northeastern email)
- Provide on demand peer tutoring to all undergraduate Northeastern courses
- Offer unlimited tutoring
- Provide 24/7 customer support
- Provide peer-to-peer tutoring to undergraduate students across the global Northeastern network on one platform
- Increase accessibility and equity of tutoring services
- Peer tutoring services delivered on the Knack platform will remain FREE to Northeastern undergraduate students
- Hire qualified Northeastern undergraduate students to become peer tutors on Knack so they can offer their services to our Northeastern learning community
- Offer 1-on-1 and small group peer tutoring in-person (where available) and online
Faculty can participate by both recommending this FREE service to their students, as well as recommending their best students and encourage them to apply to become Northeastern peer tutors on Knack.
