The Peer Tutoring Program (PTP) offers FREE in-person and online tutoring services to students enrolled in undergraduate courses supported by our program.
To set up a tutoring session as an NU student on the Boston campus, please follow these steps:
- To schedule a tutoring session, students should go to the Student Hub and under the Resources tab in the “Academics, Classes, and Registration” section is the Peer Tutoring link that leads to the tutoring platform in Navigate. Students should login to Navigate using their Northeastern credentials.
- In Navigate, students will click on the blue “Schedule an Appointment” tab at the top right-hand corner of the window.
- From there, students can follow the prompts to schedule a tutoring session for the course-s in which they are seeking tutoring assistance.
PTP also supports NUin, NU Bound, and Global Quest students by offering FREE online tutoring services. If you are an NUBound or Global Quest student, you can access tutoring here: NU Global Tutoring
PTP’s preferred online tutoring platform is GoBoard; however, both tutors and tutees are able to use Zoom if preferred and the tutor will email the tutee a Zoom link in that case.
PTP is committed to offering high quality of tutoring services regardless of the method of delivery.
Once you have submitted a request for a tutoring session, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of the session. If it is an NU Global Online Tutoring Session, there will be a GoBoard link in the confirmation email so that you can join the session. If you requested an online tutoring session as a Northeastern Boston campus student, the confirmation email will have a GoBoard url that you can use to join the session.
What happens next?
- Make sure that you are using a Google Chrome browser to access your GoBoard digital environment; this is the best browser for this program.
- Prior to your scheduled session, both students and tutors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the technology and the features available on GoBoard.
