As Northeastern is putting together a comprehensive plan for reopening in Fall 2020, all units were asked to evaluate their practices based on delivering services to students in a safe and healthy environment meeting the CDC and local health officials’ guidelines in response to Covid-19. The Peer Tutoring Program has decided to continue offering only online tutoring services during Fall 2020 in order to comply with CDC guidelines in keeping our students and staff safe.
PTP has been working hard to ensure that all learners taking undergraduate courses at Northeastern can access our FREE tutoring services and resources. We have restructured our operations to include MATH online tutoring and expanded our portfolio of courses supported by our services to include a number of high demand Business and Computer Science courses. We are also excited to welcome a new member to our team. Nicole Wang has joined us as the Assistant Director of Online Tutoring and Global Initiatives. She will be heading our newly launched N.U.in Online Tutoring Center under the PTP umbrella.
In addition to tutoring being virtual, all PTP staff members will be working remotely from home during Fall 2020. However, the PTP staff members are committed to supporting both our tutors, students, faculty partners, and advising staff during this time. We value all tutoring inquiries and our staff members are available via email, phone, and videoconferencing.
